Yak-11s taxied to this point unassisted. During w air activity, a ' Voskovlch-type van-like true .2 dank - tricks,:anc 4 M ticks 2. About 12:15 p.m.., a truck with two food containers left from the tanporary building housing the kitchen and messhall toward the eastern edge of the field. About noon, about 120 Men entered the temporary kitchen building. The AA gun emplacement which was occupied by 6 x 37 -mm AA guns was guarded. Se nteen motor vehicles were parked in the rotor vehicle sheds. Five trucksT 3 van-like trucks jeep, and 1 fire truck were parked near the sheds. The fuel dump was guarded by a sentry wearing black-bordered blue epaulets. Two tank trucks were observed thore. The status of the ground radio stations was unchanged. The Knifereet and Fishnet type radar sets were not in operation during air activity. A swan crane and a disassembled 1:iG-15 were observed at the aircraft repair shop. No work was going on there. Between 2 p.m. and 5845 p.m. on 10 February,. 9 t iG 15s were parked from east to west near the deserted AA gun emplacements at Parndorf airfield. No other aircraft were observed because visibility was limited. There was no air activity. There was a 10/10 overcast at an altitude of about 1,200 meters northe l i , r y w nd at 15 km/h and united visibility. Between 8:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on 12 February, 18 ?iG 15s, 2 Yak--lie and 1 high-wing monoplane were observed at Parndorf airfield,, There was a 3/10 overcast at an altitude of about 1,5005 meters, northwesterly wind at 5 km/h and visibility of about 15 km. Between 800 a.m. and 12:01 p.m., the high wing monoplane and the two Yak-1is practiced individual flying. The flights made by the Yak-119 lasted about 35 minutes. During air activity, about 30 men who wore fur jackets were observed near the headquarters bus. These men rotated as pilots of the Yak-lla. At noon, air activity was interrupted until .2 p.m..The men in fur jackets went to the temporary buildings. 6. The AA gun emplacements were occupied by 6 x 37-am LA guns and were guarded by sentries i wea f 1 .1 .,a.s.1.na9 =LU weapon-carrier were Parked in front of them. Two batter carts y were connected by cable to the battery shop. The noise of a running generator was heard. The Yniferest and Fishnet-type radar sets were not in operation during air activity. The van like trucks which had been observed nt of the two sheds on 26 January 1954 had been rear vied. Truck jeep nd van-like truck all of then viers wearing -- re blue epaulets were identified in vehicular traffic between the airfield and Bruck Leitha.; Between 1200 p.m- n.nd I -n 13 February, truck and jeeps all of them with drivers wearing black- ".a epaulets, arrived at the air force quartering building in Bruck on the Leitha River ands after some time, left again. Four soldiers who wore black-bordered blue epaulets were identified behind the windows of the building. 1. r- ICoinment. The present report does not indicate a change in the occupation of Barndorf airfield. A Soviet fighter regiment is believed to be stationed there. 2. O Comment. Parndorf airfield for the first time.
