1. This memorandum is for information only. (U)
2. The activities of the Office of Security during the week
of 29 January - 4 February 1981 were highlighted by the following 25X1
items:
c. On 29 January 1981, the. Security Education Group
(SEG) presented a security update to the Terrorist
Group/IAD/DDO. The session was lengthy, lively, and well-
received. SEG also attended a meeting of the DCI Security
Committee Security Awareness Working Group which featured a
visit by an audiovisual specialist who provided advice and 25X1
guidance regarding available teaching/briefing aids and
their application in awareness programs. (C)

e. At the request of the Department of State, a special
two-day course in document destruction devices was afforded
six Seabees. scheduled for overseas assignment. (U)
f. On 29 January 1981, ISSG personnel met with
representatives of the U.S. Secret Service, at their
request, to provide guidance regarding their efforts to
develop a security program for the protection of sensitive
computer operations. (U)
h. On 30 January 1981, a representative of the Office
of Physical Security, Department of the Treasury, was
briefed by a member of the Office of Security on
presentation of Defensive Area Briefings. The discussion
included those Government agencies that provide pertinent
information and a review of recordkeeping attendant to
briefings. (U)
