2. MR. FAIRFIELD, REPORTER Magazine
Advised by John Mitchell of the Select Committee on the Katyn
Massacre that a Mr. Fairfield representing himself as a writer for
REPORTER Magazine has alleged that CIA engaged in a ware tap at the
Willard Hotel during February or March. Security advises me that
the allegation is totally unfounded. Am calling on the managing
editor of REPORTER to kill the report.
