expenditur^.s on publication:; for the Intelligence Directorate.
The table covers the period FY 1969 - FY 1971. The amounts
earmarked for FY 1971. are extensions of the actual FY 1970
activities. The sums earmarked for FY 1971 differ from actual
=_,'Y 1970 expenditures primti.rily because procurement activity
in the second half of FY 1973 declined sharply following the
;xecutive Director-Comptroller's memoranda of 29 October
and 26 November. The total sum available to CRS for all
., ;ency pull lications procurement is predicated on the assurnption
that this reduction in procurement activity will prevail throughout
ail of FY 1971.
