S. At the next meeting, the team will deliberate on grouping of
countries, dependencies and other external territories on the basis of
geography such as "Countries South of the Sahara" or "Latin America".
There are also political aggregations like the "Free World" and the "Sino-
Soviet Bloc". Mixtures of geographic and political orientations occur as
is the case with aggregations like "Western Europe" (Free) and Eastern
Europe (Communist). There are social and cultural aggregations like the
so-called "Middle East" which appears quite indefinable in a consistent
manner. There are also disparately located political affiliations such as
the British Commonwealth of Nations, the French Dion, the Spanish State,
etc. These and many other aggregations appear frequently in reports and
other intelligence material and therefore must be provided for in the area
content control scheme.
6. The next meeting is scheduled for 0930-1600, 18 June 1965, Room
2E45 at CIA Headquarters. All-day parking permits will be provided as in
the past.
