Dear Admiral Lee:
I am pleased to receive your letter of 7 December
and learn that the Joint Chiefs of Staff have allocated a
quota of four students from the Central Intelligence
Agency for the course at The National War College com-
mencing in mid-August 1965. I am also happy to learn
that the College feels that the people from the Agency
have added greatly to the success of its work, and we
plan to fill the quota in its entirety. Our Director of
Training. Mr. Matthew Baird, will be in contact with
your: staff on the details.

Dear Mr. McCone:
It is my pleasure to inform you that the Joint Chiefs of
Staff have allocated a quota of four students from your Agency
for the course of instruction at The National War College com-
men+cing in mid August of 1965. The course is approximately
ten months long.
As you know, the people from your Agency have added
greatly to the overall success of the College since its founding
and they may be expected to do so in the future. I do hope,
therefore, that you will be able to fill the quota in entirety. and
*at your selectees will be chosen with the view to getting the
; a aximum benefit to our government from this large investment
in special education.
I enclose a short guide concerning administrative details.
I extend this invitation so you may continue to furnish
otudents for participation in the activities of this College.
