MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Conversation with Messrs Levinson and Blum, Senate
Subcommittee on Multinational Corporations- Staff
1. At approximately 5:30 p.m. today I delivered to Jerome Levinson,
of the Church Subcommittee staff, Mr. Maury's letter transmitting Bill B roe's
answers to the 73 questions submitted to us by Levinson yesterday. I
presented Levinson with a document receipt which he signed.
2. In reading Mr. Maury's letter he focused. on the last sentence
which stated that we understood that Broe's answers would be made part
of the Subcommittee's classified record. Levinson said he did not feel
they could accept the answers on this basis since some of the material
would have to be included in the Subcommittee's report. At this point Jack
Blum, who was also present, told Levinson they should accept the material
in this form and then take the matter up with Chairman Church.
