(Confidential - GLC) Al Tarabochia, Senate Internal Security Subcommittee staff, talked with me about the Subcommittee's interest in a militant anti-Marcos movement in the Philippines which has substantial contacts in this country in the San Francisco Bay area. Taraboch-,.a is interested in anything we know about this movement and the extent of assistance which they receive from persons in this country. I told him I would look into this and call him back. 9. (Unclassified - GLC) Hand-carried to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee office a letter from the Director to Chairman Fulbright on the subject of Agency assistance to U. S. law enforcement agencies. I also left with the office of Senator Clifford Case (R., N.J. ) a letter from the Director to the Senator responding to a letter from Senator Case on the above subject. 10. (Unclassified - GLC) Left with Herbert Roback's, Senate Government Operations Committee staff, secretary a letter from the Director to Chairman Holifield on the subject of Agency assistance to U. S. law enforcement agencies. I also left a message extending our congratulations to Roback on his selection as a recipient of a Civil Service award this year. 11. (Unclassified - GLC) I bumped into Sam Goldberg, Administrative Assistant to Senator Charles McC. Mathias (R., Md. ), in the Senate Office Building. He said the Senator would be pleased to speak to our Advanced Intelligence Seminar class on 21 March. He said Mrs. Arline MacArthur, the Senator's secretary, would be in touch with us to confirm this. 12. (Unclassified - LLM) Called Hilda Schreiber, OMB, and she said she did not foresee any problems in the relatively rapid clearance for transmittal to Congress of Agency legislation dealing solely with the limita- tion on retirements under the CIA Retirement Act.
