Approved For Release 2006/09/2R ~ ~15B00380R000200090125-7 ZEC Journal - Office of Legislative Counsel Page 3 Friday - 26 January 1973 12. (Confidential - JGO) Met with Herb Roback, Staff Director, Subcommittee on Legislation and Military Operations of House Government Operations Committee, who told me that he does not foresee at this time any changes in Committee procedures concerning the Central Intelligence Agency. He noted that Chairman Holifield thinks very highly of our new Director Schlesinger from his contact with him through the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy. 13. (Unclassified - GLC) Tom Moser, on the staff of Representative Mike McCormack (D., Wash.), called and requested copies 1 and 2 of the FBIS publication "Foreign Broadcast Stations of the World. " I told him that this publication was available through the Government Printing Office but we would be happy to provide the copies he requested for the Congressman. 14. (Secret - GLC) Talked with Bill Woodruff, Senate Appropriations Committee staff, about the briefing Wednesday morning of the Intelligence Operations Subcommittee. Woodruff said he had no specific guidance from Chairman McClellan but he suggested we begin the session with a briefing on the USSR and China being prepared to also cover areas such as the Middle East, Vietnam, and any "hot spots. " He also felt we should be prepared to go into the budget as well as Agency Reserves, limiting any discussion of the reconnaissance programs to the Chairman and Senator Young, unless we get other guidance from McClellan. 15. (Confidential - GLC) Rob Mosbacher, Legislative Assistant to Senator Howard Baker (R., Tenn.), called to say that Baker and he would like to come to the Agency to see the Cuban Missile display and stay for lunch and any briefing we thought he should have. Mosbacher said he would like to sit in on the briefings if this did not create problems for us. I told him I would be back in touch with him. cc: O/DDCI Mr. 25X1A Mr. Houston Mr. DDI DDS DDS&T Item 6 - D/Pers 25X11 JOHN M.
