6. (Unclassified -- MLG) LIAISON I received calls from
Mary, in the office of Representative Philip R. Sharp (D. , Ind. ),
Andy Waxier, in the office of Representative Thomas Luken (D., Ohio),
and I..,yrin, in the office of Representative David Bowen (D., Miss.),
concerning the CIA tours. I told them that nothing had been confirmed
yet but hopefully the tours would begin in late August and we would
put their names on a list and would be back in touch as soon as we had
firrn information.

8. (Unclassified - 1`TDL) LIAISON Received a call from
Valerie Larson, House Armed Services Committee staff, who requested
a copy of the 1977 "National Basic Intelligence Factbook. " A copy has
been sent to her.
9. (Unclassified - THW) LIAISON Met with Bill Hoffman, staff of
Senator Mike Gravel (D., Alaska), and told him that after exploring the
possibilities Senator Gravel had mentioned to me on 28 June, that because
of the enormity of the task, the Agency would not be able to fulfill the
Senator's request and I passed on the names of other experts in the field
with large personnel complements who might be able to do the work
for h.im. Hoffman thanked me for our efforts.
10. (Unclassified - THW) ADMINISTRATIVE DELIVERIES
Delivered to Winslow Wheeler, in the office of Senator Jacob Javits
(R. , N. Y. ), unclassified biographies of Middle East leaders for the
Senator's use during his trip to the Middle East.
