7. In the spring of 1952, it was rumored in 23 Rifle Regiment that Major
Choehev9 formerly commander of the first battalion of 14 Rifle Regiment.,
was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and given the command of an unidenti-
fied regiment in ktendil,l

In 1952, the rifle battalions of 23 Infantry Regiment had their snaarmaer
camp at Zelen Dol (Nl200 E2302),tsix or seven kilometers 'vest of Gorna
Dzh,ya, The artillery compasay remained in the Gorna Dzhumaya garrison.
Captain Aagelov is Deputy Commander of 23 Rifle Regiment. In July 19529
Senior First Lieutenant Kashokiev was. given command of the first battalion
of-23 Rifle Regiment. In, March 19529 Senior First Lieutenant Zhelev was
given command of the second battalion of 23 Rifle Regiment. Captain
Moravski is the commander of an unidentified artillery company subordinate
to 23 Rifle Regiment.
