THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 25X1 la The only repair shops in Yugoslavia for broad gauge rolling stock are located in Zagreb a Maribor and Nis,, 'These shops are also able to rebuild old coaches and to repair and even rebuild steam locomotiveso The main line passenger coaches are sent into one of these three repair depots approximately once every eighteen months for general overhaulo 2. The number of steam locomotives was not ascertainable, but some conclusion might be drawn from the fact that between 100 and 150 sets of locomotive a s t fi th ve ye r e new Lectc lighting equipment mill be required per year over equip existing locomotives apart from the 300 already supplied and pre- sumably fitted* The proportion of broad to narrow gauge equipment is not knowna 4. The railroad passenger car factory in Smederevska palanka,, 8erbia9 known as Dragoslav Djordjevic t3osa91 has reoently been enlarged and by 1953 is exx h es pected to produce 300 broad gauge coaches per 7earo Fifty completed coac are in the factory at the present tiieo Although the finish of these coaches is exude compared to Western- European standards,, they are adequate for internal operation on Yugoslav railroads.
