(LISTED BELOW) SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT NO. *Except as noted THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 10 on 10 June 19529 a Soviet medical team?1 consisting of 30 Soviet surgeons and 10 Soviet nurses, was east of Kong (125-i59 394.59) (XEm9228) at apps ximately 93l282, The team was charged with-visiting the counties oo' North Pyengan Province to give medical aid and to prevent infectious ' diseases among the popu- 1ation0 The team was divided into groups consisting of two physicians and one nurse, each group being assigned to one county. The team used medicine and surgical instruments brought from Russia and made no charge for medical services, 3 clinics, was at the following points in North Pyongan Province to give medical aid to North Korean civilians and wounded North Korean soldiers.- the 53 Clinic at Chongju (125.13.- 39=42) (XD-9096); the 171 Clinic at Sunan (125-419 39o'1) ( 525 to); and a clinic at Sunckapon (125?56, 39-25), (YD-5267). Uaenglian (sic) Medicl, Team2 In June 1952, an Uaenglian medical team' consisting of 20 Uaenglian physicians,, 10 Uaenglian nurses,, and 100 Korean assistants, was in South Pyongan Province at Mankyengtae,, 3 where it had been since August 19510 The team was charged with giving medical aid to wounded North Korean soldiers.
