SECURITY INFORMATION
Communist forces have constructed defense works at Yongmun-san (7893/7024/1472)
north of Kangyongmgang (3068/0626/6670) and along the left bank of the Pukhan-
gang (0554/3352/3068), These defense works extend for about 5 kilometers and
ate centered on the three main peaks on the east-to-west range of that mountain.
rive large circular caves, each with an internal diameter of 25 meters, have
been dug at the top of these three peaks; their firing positions are made of
reinforced concrete 2 meters thick, and steel doors have been installed at
their entrances. Defense works and trenches of a more simple construction are
along the mountain ridges and below the :5 major forts. Communication trenches
1 1/2 meters wide and 1 1/2 meters deep have been dug between the major forts
and the mountain ridges. Over 20 anti-aircraft gun positions have been
constructed at the foot of Yongmun-sa:no
