Although the deposits were opened following the war, no profitable yield
has been obtained during the last lour years. :teeently, however, coal has
been discovr -red which holds promise of more useful exp-oitation. The mien,
coal as analyzed as be g anthracite with little gas content. Because
of its lac'c of _as, the coal cannot be used as a solid fuel. Other uses
are to oe determined.
