Orders for Chinese Communist Discussion
of Bombing of North Korean Power Plants
The Chinese Communists have banned all gossip and rumors concerning the
bombing of the North Korean power plants. High-ranking. Chinese Communists
belieye that the American bombing was an attempt to strike a bargain for
peace and silence criticism of the American Government at home. The
Chinese will continue to cooperate closely with Moscow, maintain a peaceful
attitude and seek a favorable cease fire. They will not be tempted into
reckless action by American irritations.
10Comment. Possibly II means that the Americans honed
to increase their bargaining power by the bombings.
