1. The Chinese Communist outpost at Changbong (unlocated, possibly Chinghaw
98-58; 23-18) has been shifted further north to onawng (unlocatedl)a a Shan
village. The. outpost at Changhong is manned by 20 Ate and Shan armed guards
under the command of DW!CITi C a Shan heatnan..
2. ` A . motor road from T19 extgch'u (98*29; 2 -01) , to Nanti.en (98-20;.P_449) and,
thence to the Kanyai (98-05; 21-_J6) plains is under construction by the Chinese
Communists. The construction work is being done by civilian c(m utsal labor
under the military authorities., At. present the road will take jeep traffic
up to Kanyai in the dry season only. No vehicles have been seen on the road
between Kanyai and Nantien to date a
