THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
Two submarines, which had been turned over to the Chinese Communists by the
Soviets in early May, left Dairen two days after the acceptance ceremony
for a harbor on the Shantung coast. They have been assigned to the
'Tsingtao Base Command of the East China Navy01 They are both a?19450-ton
class of submarine built in the USSR in 19470
