The following is a report on photographic coverage of: a. Priority "Base Line" ets in south China and North Vietnam, as defined by the Board on 3 Marc 96 paras 2-6); b. North Vietnam to detect the introduction of offensive missile systemsb (paras 7 and 8); c. Targets in Laos adjacent to the South China borderc (para 9); d. Missions during the Period: According to field reporting, five BUMBLE BUG missions, flown 30 August - 3 September, photographed priority targets in the Haiphong area of North Vietnam and the Chan Chiang and Nan Ning complexes in South China. The BLACK SHIELD mission, flown 31 August, acquired surveillance coverage of two priority targets in North Vietnam and one in South China. of twelve priority targets in South China. .As noted above the 31 August BLACK SHIELD added three surveil- lance targets. reporting period, acquired surveillance coverage of seven priority targets in North Vietnam. There has been no report of photographic detection of the intro- duction of offensive missile systems into North Vietnam. of North Vietnam (80/0 or better cloud-free) that has been reported in the three week period ending 4 September. This has been reported in accordance with the photo reconnaissance area grid system. In addition to area coverage, the map shows ten targets that could most likely reveal the introduction of offensive missile systems into North Vietnam, the Kun Ming railroad yards, the eleventh target, is at 2501N and is consequently off the map. 8. The results of this mission are not available.
