SUBJECT : 2? June SIG Meeting of US Policy Toward Latin America
1. Under Secretary Eagleburger chaired a Senior Interdepartmental Group
meeting on "The Falklands Crisis: Implications for US National Interests and
Policies". Participants included: State -- Buckley, Enders, Einaudi,
Tillman; DOD -- Ikle, Gorman, Sanchez; NSC -- Fontaine, Sapia-Bosch; CIA --
DDI and A/NIOJLA; and senior representatives from AID, ICA, ACCRA, Treasury,
USTR, and the Vice President's office. 0 25X1
2. The meeting was called to discuss the IG paper of 17 June (attached);
no decisions were made. A new paper will be distributed incorporating the
corm ents of the participants, establishing better "time phasing" for the
action proposals, and detailing what will require NSC acction. There was no 25X1
specific tasking of CIA.
