SUBJECT: DCI/DDCI Breakfast with Secretary of State, Deputy Secretary of
State, and Amb. Eagleburger
The following issues were discussed:
-- El Salvador. There was extensive discussion on the schedule
of briefings and meetings this week regarding press statements 25X1
on El Salvador and Nicaragua.
Kampuchean Resistance. We are waiting for State to get back
to us on this one.
Syrian Opposition. Secretary Haig provided additional background
on the contacts Secretary Weinberger had during his recent trip.
The Asia Foundation. Haig will try to come up with appropriate
funding. He will have State try to work things out with OMB. It
turns out that EA Bureau is the only part of the Department that 5X1
supports the Foundation.
Liberia. Haig will work toward getting President Doe at least a
handshake with President Reagan during Doe's visit to the U.S.
this spring.
