The iiq 8th Utz Inf Div with a motorized infantry regiment may have been
transferred from Lodz. It is also possible that the army units VIVO only
withdrawn from thescity to new barracks installations outside the city,.
This assumption is partially supported by a report of January 1951 which
stated that a large now barracks installation in the Zgie.f'z forest, was
oc zlip.ed by troops.
