What should be a fascinating
movie is soon to be filmed
flgainst the backgrotmd of our
.home town.
Richard Widmark and the
cast for "Vanished," Fletcher
Knebel's novel about the Pres-
ident's closest friend and key
adviser who disappears from
the fifth hole of Burning Tree
golf course, will arrive here on
the 13th.
They: will move into the new
Key Bridge Marriott Motel's
200-room tower and remain
here for a week.
They will portray action
against such Washington back-
drops as the onside of the
White House, Dulles Airport,
the old Senate Office Building,
the Capitol steps, and hopeful-
ly Air Force One as well as
the President's helicopter.
And, oh yes, the 5th hole on
the E.T. course will be another
scene in the Universal City
film.
