Colonel Edwards and I today met with the following officials th respect to polygraphing the guards and maistenance force Mr. Gould GSA of Per dings Mr. Alexander - Chief? Protective Services Mr. Henry - (Part-time) - from Region III GSA 2. Colonel Edwards opened the meeting by outlhwing the coverage be given on the P. G., namely, communist party membership, foreign intelligence connections and illegal admission of personnel. He pointed out that we would not be interested in the small "peccadillos" { of individuals. GA personnel discussed with us such problems as: (a) Upon receipt of derogatory information, the downgrading of a Guard from GS-4 to GS-2 upon transfer; (b) The approach to be used. Mr. Gould suggested that the Region III official, who would work on this problem, be briefed to use the individual contact approach so as not to grit the whole force excited; tct Lae reason or tae x-, tx. program is the concentration e. new balding of the most highly classified and sensitive material.
