SUBJECT Progress on Development of a Non-Reflecting Helmet
Visor.
1. working as a sub-contractor
to the David Clark Co., reports following effort:
a. Presently shaping monolithic samples for
optical evaluation.
b. Providing a triple layer anti-reflectance
coating to preliminary flat plate samples.
c. Glass sample with a single plane curve
consisting of two ply of glass with heating element
between glass was tested for strength. Shattering
effect did not nullify visual field or ability to
retain at least safety pressure of breathing oxygen.
Compared with plastic these results look good.

be submitted to Headquarters by 10 July. In the mean-
time technical effort will proceed as agreed upon by
