PREFACE
THIS IS THE FIRST AND ONLY OAK REPORT ON MISSION 1035-2
ANIYPROVIDES INFORMATION ON THOSE COMMITTEE ON OVERHEAD
RECONNAISSANCE (COMOR) TARGETS OBSERVED ON THE PHOTOGRAPHY.
TARGETS ARE ARRANGED IN THE OAK BY SUBJECT AND WITHIN EACH
SUBJECT BY COMOR TARGET NUMBER. TARGETS OF OPPORTUNITY OBSERVED
DURING THE OAK REPORTING PERIOD ARE LISTED NUMERICALLY UNDER THE
APPROPRIATE SUBJECT AFTER THE LISTING OF COMOR TARGETS.
LOCATIONS OF TARGETS IN THIS REPORT ARE INDICATED BY THE
COUNTRY CODE PRECEDING THE COORDINATES.
SELECTED -PHOTOGRAPHIC .REFERENCES FOLLOW THE DESCRIPTION OF :THE
TARGET. PASS NUMBERS ARE SUFFIXED WITH EITHER AN A FOR ASCENDING
(SOUTH-TO-NORTH), D FOR DESCENDING (NORTH-TO-SOUTH) OR M FOR A MIXED
ASCENDING AND DESCENDING PASS. THE LETTER F PRECEDING FRAME NUMBERS
INDICATES THE FORWARD CAMERA, AND THE LETTER A INDICATES THE AFT
CAMERA. THE X AND Y PHOTOGRAPHIC COORDINATES DERIVED FROM KH-4
MISSIONS ARE RECORDED ONLY ON NEWLY IDENTIFIED TARGETS. ONLY THE X
COORDINATE IS RECORDED FOR OTHER TARGETS. THIS GRID IS IDENTIFIED
AS UNIVERSAL GRID NO 11 FEB 64. SYMBOLS INDICATING CONDITIONS
WHICH AFFECT THE APPEARANCE OF THE TARGET ON THE PHOTOGRAPHY
ARE -- C (CLEAR), SC (SCATTERED CLOUD COVER), HC (HEAVY
CLOUD COVER), H (HAZE', CS (CLOUD SHADOW), S (SNOW), 0

INTERPRETABILITY OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS CATEGORIZED AS G (GOOD),
F (FAIR), OR P (POOR). THE EXTENT OF PHOTOGRAPHIC COVERAGE
IS DENOTED BY THE SYMBOLS T (TOTAL) OR PT (PARTIAL). THE MODE
OF ?COVERAGE IS INDICATED BY ST (STEREO), NS (NON-STEREO), OR PS
(PARTIAL STEREO).
OAK RECIPIENTS ARE CAUTIONED THAT THE INITIAL SCAN OF THE
PHOTOGRAPHY IS BEING ACCOMPLISHED IN A SHORT TIME AND PRIOR TO
FINAL REFINEMENT OF EPHEMERIS DATA. CONSEQUENTLY, FUTURE DETAILED

SIX OF THE 25 KNOWN DEPLOYED ICBM COMPLEXES ARE COVERED BY
PHOTOGRAPHY. ITATKA, SHADRINSK, AND TYUMEN ARE COVERED BY
CLEAR PHOTOGRAPHY. GLADKAYA, IMENI GASTELLO, AND KOZELSK
ARE OBSERVED THROUGH HEAVY CLOUDS. ONE TYPE IIIC ICBM LAUNCH SITE
IS NEWLY IDENTIFIED AT IMENI GASTELLO. THIS SITE CAN BE
25X1D NEGATED ON AND IS FIRST SEEN 10 DAYS
LATER ON THIS MISSION.
THE CURRENT COUNT OF ICBM LAUNCHERS AT DEPLOYED COMPLEXES
(THE FIGURE SHOWN IN PARENTHESIS INDICATES THE NUMBER OF
POSSIBLE LAUNCHERS AND IS NOT INCLUDED IN TOTALS) IS AS

A PORTION OF THE TYURATAM MISSILE TEST CENTER, USSR, IS COVERED
ON ONE PASS OF CLEAR STEREO PHOTOGRAPHY. GENERALLY, THE
FACILITIES BETWEEN LAUNCH COMPLEX A, THE MAIN SUPPORT BASE,
AND THE WESTERN END OF THE CENTER ARE COVERED. HOWEVER, ALL
OF COMPLEX A, LAUNCH AREA JI-J2, AND THE LARGE INTERFEROMETER
ARE IDENTIFIED ONLY.
THE SHUANG-CHENG-TZU MISSILE TEST CENTER, CHINA, IS NOT
COVERED AND ONLY THE NORTHWEST PORTION OF THE SAM COMPLEX AT
THE KAPUSTIN YAR/VLADIMIROVKA MISSILE CENTER, USSR, IS
OBSERVED THROUGH SCATTERED CLOUD COVER.
ONLY PORTIONS OF THE MOSCOW ABM SEARCH AREA AND THREE PROBABLE
LONG RANGE SAM LAUNCH COMPLEXES (KALININ, KIMRY, AND MOZHAYSK)
ARE OBSERVED THROUGH SCATTERED-TO-HEAVY CLOUD COVER. ALL OTHER
COMPLEXES ARE EITHER CLOUD COVERED OR NOT COVERED.
A PORTION OF NORTH VIETNAM IS COVERED BY ONE PASS OF PHOTOGRAPHY
WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 50 PERCENT CLOUD COVERED. OF THE 132
KNOWN SA-2 SAM SITES, NONE ARE OBSERVED. NO NEW SAM INSTALLATIONS
ARE IDENTIFIED.

IMENI CASTELLO ICBM COMPLEX UR 5106N 06618E
THE WESTERN 50 PERCENT OF THE 50-NM SEARCH AREA IS
COVERED ON PHOTOGRAPHY WITH SCATTERED-TO-HEAVY CLOUD
COVER. OF THE 22 KNOWN LAUNCH SITES, 7 SITES ARE
COVERED ON FAIR PHOTOGRAPHY AND 10 SITES ARE COVERED ON
POOR PHOTOGRAPHY. ONE SITE AND THE RAIL-TO-ROAD
TRANSFER POINT ARE IDENTIFIED ONLY. THE COMPLEX
SUPPORT FACILITY IS COVERED ON POOR PHOTOGRAPHY WITH
SCATTERED CLOUD COVER.
A NEWLY IDENTIFIED PROBABLE TYPE IIIC SITE, SITE 23, IS
LOCATED 15 NM NW OF THE COMPLEX SUPPORT FACILITY AT
51-2IN 066-06E. THE SITE CAN BE NEGATED ON MISSION
AND IS FIRST SEEN 10 DAYS LATER ON
THIS MISSION. IT IS IN AN EARLY STAGE OF CONSTRUCTION
AND CONSISTS OF THE START OF A U-SHAPED EXCAVATION. NO
SECURITY FENCE IS OBSERVED.
TATISCHEVO ICBM COMPLEX UR 5140N 04534E
THE SEARCH AREA IS COVERED ON ONE PASS OF PHOTOGRAPHY
WHICH IS CLOUD COVERED EXCEPT FOR THE EXTREME 1 PERCENT
OF THE WEST EDGE. NO NEW MISSILE FACILITIES ARE

QUADRANT IS COVERED BY 80 PERCENT CLOUD-FREE
PHOTOGRAPHY. NO SAM OR OTHER MISSILE-ASSOCIATED
ACTIVITY OBSERVED.
MOSKVA SUSPECT ABM AREA UR 5545N 03737E
ALL BUT THE EXTREME EASTERN AND WESTERN ENDS OF THE
SEARCH AREA ARE COVERED ON PHOTOGRAPHY WITH
SCATTERED-TO-HEAVY CLOUD COVER. NO NEW SARY-SHAGAN OR
LENINGRAD-TYPE INSTALLATIONS, ELECTRONIC FACILITIES, OR
NUCLEAR WEAPONS STORAGE WHICH MIGHT BE RELATED TO ABM
DEPLOYMENT OBSERVED IN CLOUD-FREE AREAS.
