POINT TRANSFER DEVICE
Progress Report 552 & 552A for April 1966
Stereo Viewer 552A #k103 is now entering the debugging
stage. Many of the electrical, mechanical and optical adjustments
have been made, but complete system has not been operating, al-
though some debugging has been done. Counters have been received
from customer and tested for operation. Measurement runs have
not been made.
Acceptance period will be delayed until early June be-
cause of prolonged installation work on the 552 Point Transfer
Device.

POINT TRANSFER DEVICE
Progress Report 552 & 552A for May 1966
Stereo viewer 552A #103 is now into the final adjustment
and checkout stages. Scanning drives are completely aligned with
optics alignments to be finished early in June. Encoders and
measurement capability have been checked with measurement repeat
precision of 1 count, or 2 1/2 microns. Acceptance for shipment
should be expected early in June.
Electrical debugging and adjustment are being completed
on 552A #104. Design of modifications has been started although
actual mechanism changes should be commenced late in June.
