STATINTL
STATINTL
As of Thurs April 251
Sensito*etric tests on the liquid bearing
nook up have continued. had some new traces by STATINTL
densitoneter across the 9j" width of some samples
which they were pleased with. Visual inspection
of the samples showed no blotches or mottling.
Further tests with additional fins will be conducted..
Machine assembly has started. Bottom
frame and tanks of the processor are going together.
Assembly of components into the frames of the
service unit and the six and replenish unit have
also been started?
Avisit of 10 during the week of 6.10
May will be very time y. Construction details can
be examined and sensitometric tests witnessed and
results reviewed.
The speed controller was reviewed in some
detail. They will use stepper motors driven by a
voltage pulse train. The frequency of the pulses
*an be varied to give variable speed. It appears
that the speed can be very accurately controlled
over the full speed range and there should be no
diffddulty meeting the accuracy mp.?ec. There is
inherent togging in a stepping device but M believes STATINTL
this can be eliminated by a flywheel and spring
coupling. It will be tested on the mockup.
? has not rec eiv'ed the contract for this
machine yet. There has been no further word whether
the epee should be 25 fps or 20 fps in the epee*
The question may be unimportant as the machine is STATINTL
being designed to transport fits at 60 fps.
