1. Mr. I , OEL/DiD/ &T, requested a block of the
3 million series of report numbers to use for numbering some 200-300
reports per month which are to be published by his office.

be adopted and it is expected "Hot items" will be published shortly
after the "tapes" are received and complete reports will follow within
90 days. Mr. Oindicated that rarely would these reports be labeled

3. The tapes are received from various sources and via

although the tapes are sent direct to GEL for analysis in accordance

these tapes to OEL to receive any other distribution, and I will attempt
to determine if this dis semination to other than OEL can be stopped.

6. The report enclosed with the II in these cases is merely
a log record of what is on the tapes. The real "information" is on the
tapes and they are sent to GEL for analysis and OEL will disseminate
any intelligence information which Is gleaned from them as a result of
this analysis. OEL receives other tapes via channels other thanEand
the transmittals involved are not disseminated to the USIB members.
