SUBJECT Minutes of the Meeting of the Comm/Nav
1. A meeting of the Comm/Nav Working. Group, U-2R Require-
ments Review Board, was held 10 November 1966 to discuss the
Comm/Nav requirements and equipment availability,
2. The following Base Line Configuration was agreed to by
Project and SAC representatives.

**Main attitude indicator driven by auto pilot platform.
Standby attitude indicator, self contained unit mounted
next to main indicator.
NOTE: If aircraft do not have NAV systems, sextants will
be required.

be required and/or desirable:

a. Capability will be required in all aircraft for
the Project Astro Science recorder, the UMY-20 personal
recorder and the recorder currently in use by SAC.
b. It would be desirable to have attitude reference
and displayed in the driftsight.
c. It would be desirable to have installed-a Voice
Interrupted Priority System (VIPS) to warn the pilot of
inflight malfunctions/emergencies.
