2. GIMRADA concurs in the transfer of funds from Phase II to
Phase I of Contract 4175, in the amount of However,
particularly in view of a recent decision regarding disposition of
the Controllable Processor, it becomes increasingly difficult to
justify the expenditure of Army funds for R&D on this type of equipment
(Universal Data Block Reader). It is, therefore, requested that every
effort be made in the future to insure that there are no additional
R&D overruns requiring Army funding.
