Approval of Minutes. The minutes, EXPAND -M-32 were approved as read. 3. Announcements. a. proposed that the EXRAND SubCommittee not meet during the month of June due to the vacation schedules, etc. This proposal was approved and it was decided that the next meeting of EXRAND will be 15 July 1970. b. gave a brief rundown on the plans a ave been made for the trip to SAC and (544th ARTW) on the 24th of May. c. I read a cable that was wri en y with info to NPIC in regards to the Free Radical program. The message is as follows: A verbal report has been made on initial comparison of free radical repro stock to fine grain 2430. for the test and use standard arget Belts at a 1.6 to 1 contrast. The results on a Niagra at 10 ft/min on current free radical) indicate that type 2430 produced 165 cycle/ mm and free radical produced 485 cycles/mm. d. There is one designation, however, that is now firm: The new #2L2 color film is now known as SO-255 (UTB). 4+. Old Business. a. gave a brief status report of the procurement of the 15+0 light tables and the production distribution. He said that all was going well and that all orders were in except DIA, but that their order would be resolved shortly. Major concern at NPIC is for color standardization, definition, comparison, viewing and reporting techniques, and equipment. 4. NRTSC cites a probable rear-projection light source problem in both intensity and illumination.
