Approval of Minutes 29 November Meeting (IA.C-M-220 Approved as written. Watch Committee Report No. 278 b. Noted the findings, and approved the recommendation of the post-mortem on this estimate. c. Noted the validity study on NIE 71-54, "Probable Develop- ments in North Africa," published 31 August 1954. 4. NIE 80/90-55 Conditions and Trends in Latin America a. Approved as amended. b. Agreed that a post-mortem on this.esti gate is not required. The judgments in NIE 80/90-55 are based primarily on broad general considerations rather than on specific intelligence data. Intelligence deficiencies will be reviewed when new esti- mates on individual Latin American countries are produced. c. Noted the validity study, as amended, on NIE 70, "Conditions and Trends in Latin America Affecting US Security," published 12 December 1952.
