SUBJECT: Nominations to the three Service War Colleges

1. In accordance with the above regulation, the CIA Career
Service Board has considered applications for attendance at the
1951-55 sessions of the three Service War Colleges. The Central
Intelligence Agency has been allotted one space each in the ses-
sions of the Naval War College and the Air War College and two
spaces in the session of the Army War College.
2. A committee, appointed by the CIA Career Service Board,
has considered a total of thirteen applications for the three
Service War Colleges and has submitted recommendations to the Board,
This committee was comprised of six individuals as follows:

Mr. George Meloon, Personnel
ADD/I
3. After considering the report of the committee, the CIA
Career Service Board discussed the qualifications of the candidates
and recommends the following for your approval, to attend the forth-
coming sessions:
Air War College
Army War College
Naval War College
4. In addition to the above, the Board recommends that, should
any vacancy arise prior to the first of August, 1954,

vacancy occur, might well be nominated for any one of
the three Colleges with equal benefit to himself and to the Agency.

and experience of the five candidates whose names are recommended
to you for your approval.
