I Met with Phil Kelleher, House Armed Services Committee staff, and confirmed with him the itinerary 25X1 for travel tol 1 - 3 December. 25X1 2. Met with Mr. J. R. Blandford, House Armed Services Committee, who advised that although the Chairman had returned from Europe, he has not yet met with him. Under present considerations, he will not be taking up the question of meetings with the Director for briefing until Monday, 28 November. 25X1 25X1 3. Attempted to see Mr. Dompierre in the office of Senator Everett Dirksen, but he was not available. It was suggested that I take up the question of correspondence of Mr. I Iwith Mr. Gomien on Monday when he returns to the office. In response to Chairman Moss's 25X1 4. 25X1 query concerning utilization o who will be residing 25X1 in F-- I advised Mr. Benson, House Government Operations Subcommittee staff, that we appreciated the biographic information forwarded by Representative Moss and that we would keep it on record for possible future reference. However, we requested that Representa- 25X1 tive Moss not advis that his name had been referred to us. 25X1 5.1 Advised Jim Kendall, Staff Director of the Senate Preparedness Investigating Subcommittee, that, at his con- venience, I could make available to him that portion of the Director's notes for his most recent briefing of the Subcommittee which pertained to the subject of Soviet ICBMs. Kendall said it would probably be best to do this some time next week and we will be in touch with him then. Delivered to the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy two copies of SNIE 13-8-66. One of these copies is for the Joint Committee and the other is to be held in custody for Colonel Glenn Smith, of the Senate Preparedness Subcommittee staff. George Murphy, of the Joint Committee staff, again mentioned the desire of the Joint Committee to have the Director up for the annual briefing of the Committee at the earliest opportunity in January. Mr. Murphy gave to me the names of several people with whom he had contact during the course of his visit to Israel with Senator Pastore. He passed this for such information as we might have on them. (See Memo for the Record for details. ) 25X1 6. dvised James Kendall, Senate Preparedness Subcommittee staff, that I had left on file with the JCAE a copy of SNIE 13-8-66. Mr. Kendall said that at a convenient time he would like to have the Soviet ICBM portion of the Director's briefing of the Subcommittee on 6 October so that he might give it further study. I told him that, in accordance with arrangements made at that time, we would be happy to make this available to him. 25X1 7. Mr. Jose, in the office of Representative Frank T. Bow, called and asked if they might have copies of a: number of unclassified Agency maps which had been requested by a constituent who is affiliated with an educational institution.
