MEMORANDUM FOR THE UNITED STATES INTELLIGENCE BOARD
SUBJECT e Announcement of Special USIB Meeting 28 January 1966
1. As recommended in the attached memorandum from the
Chairman, Joint Atomic Energy Intelligence Committee, the Chairman,
United States. Intelligence Board has scheduled a special meeting of the
Board for 1500 hours on 28, January 1966.
2. As outlined in the attached memorandum, the purpose of this
special meeting is to receive a. summary of the Nuclear Intelligence
Panel's findings and recommendations with regard to their review of
the Communist Chinese atomic energy program.

JOINT ATOMIC ENERGY INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE
MEMORANDUM FOR CHAIRMAN UNITED STATES INTELLIGENCE BOARD
SUBJECT: Nuclear Intelligence Panel
1. As you know, the Nuclear Intelligence Panel is being
established to review intelligence on foreign nuclear energy
programs. This Panel will serve as an advisory body to the
Director of Central Intelligence. Individuals that have been
asked to serve as members of anel, which will be
chaired b , are given on the attached
list.
2. It is presently planned to have the initial meeting
of this Panel, to review the Chinese atomic energy program, on
the 27th and 28th of January. It is recommended that a meeting
of USIB be scheduled for 1500 hours on 28 January to receive a
summary of Panel findings and recommendations.
