(Internal Use Only - THW) BRIEFING Art Mandakis, Staff Director, House International Relations Subcommittee on Inter-American Affairs, called to request a briefing on the current political and economic situation in Columbia, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. The briefing will be in preparation for a trip the Subcommittee intends to make to those countries beginning 9 August. We tentatively set 2 August at 10:00 a. m. in I-I 236, of the Capitol, as the time and place for the briefing. I went over the groundrules of no personal staff and no attribution and agreed there would be no transcript. The briefing will be on an informal basis. CSS, was advised. STAT b T T 21.
