C. 20505 6_11/40- 20 Odf At the direction of the Subcommittee on Foreign Assistance, Mr. Rudolph Rousseau of the Committee staff will be travelling to Indonesia. The travel will begin November 7 and end approximately November 26. Senator Case and I have asked Mr. Rousseau to examine economic assistance, food assistance and related issues in Indonesia. As in the past, we would appreciate the full cooperation of the Central Intelligence Agency in helping arrange Executive Branch briefings in Washington, and other arrange- ST ments and appointments for Mr. Rousseau. His desires with regard to these matters will be provided to your staff. We are writing to the Secretary of State asking him to designate an officer of that Department to coordinate these arrangements within the Executive Branch. Upon his return, Mr. Rousseau will be expected to prepare a report for the Committee. In the event Committee Members subsequently decide to issue his report, we will consult with the Executive Branch, as in the past, to ensure adequate protection for classified information.
