SUBJECT: Briefing Materials Provided to
Ambassador Bush
1. The following material was provided to Ambassador
Bush after his arrival in Washington:
a. Functional Summary Data -- a statement of
the function, strength, funds, and bio data on each
major component within CIA, plus IC and NIO.
b. A volume prepared by Scott Breckinridge on
the thrust of SSC/HSC inquiries,
c. A compilation by Assistant to the DCI Thuermer
of press clippings reacting to the appointment of
Ambassador Bush,
2. The material listed in the attachments was pouched
to Peking for the Ambassador.
