MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director for Administration
SUBJECT : Fine Arts Commission Business
Three matters came up during our meeting of 5 August which
I pass to you for consideration:
1. has asked to be relieved of her member-
ship on the Commission. I have written her a letter of appreciation
honoring her request. I would like to have some new members on the
Commission, particularly folks interested in undertaking some of the
work involved. It occurs to me that you might wish to nominate, or
invite others to nominate, candidates for Commission membership.
If so, I would be glad to receive their names and talk with them.
If not, I will recruit them myself with the help of other Commission
members.

The Commission asks your support for this Garden Club project. We
also request that some financial assistance be provided the Club for
planters, plants, and other necessary material, this financial help
to come from the allocation for FAC activities. The members of the

may require heavy physical labor. They would work on Saturdays and
so will need weekend access to the Courtyard. Any activity they
undertake will be coordinated through the Fine Arts Commission with
the Office of Logistics. We request your approval and support.
