MEMORANDUM FOR: NFAC Security Officer
FROM Chief, Cartography Division/OGCR
SUBJECT Visit of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University (Blacksburg, Va.)
1. Dr. Justin C. Friberg, Assistant Professor of
Geography at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, has requested
a tour of the Cartography Division, OGCR, for himself and
10 students. on 5 May 1978 from 0930-1200. The tour will
be unclassified and will cover general cartographic research,
compilation, construction and computer-assisted cartography.
The students will be limited to certain areas of the
Division to ensure no contact with classified material.
2. A list of students giving birthdate, birthplace
and citizenship is attached. Arrangements should be made
with the Office of Security to have VIP parking and
Conference badges available for the group on arrival to
save time and avoid confusion.
3. Questions concerning the students or the tour
should be directed to - x6101.
