SUBJECT : Tactical Fusion Center Briefing
1. On Tuesday, 8 July, in the DCI Conference Room at
1630-1730 hours a briefing will be provided on current plans
for d veloping a Tactical Fusion Center in the command
25X1 The briefer will be Brigadier
General John Pustay, the Air Force Deputy Assistant Chief of
Staff for Intelligence.
2. General Pustay has directed a study to develop an
evolutionary plan for a facility which would use multi-
source intelligence data and integrate it with operations
data to enhance command and control of Allied Forces in the
central region of Europe. The facility is known as the
Tactical Fusion Center and focuses on the following intelli-
gence support:
-- Integrates operations and intelligence data.
Employs semi-automatic processing and graphics
display of information.
Provides near-real-time response to battle staff
and critical resource matters.
Provides unique fusion capability for NATO.
3. One of the main problems that the DCI eventually
may have to come to grips with is the data classification
