Senator is preparing to make.
2. LIAISON Called Lot Cooke,
Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, to inform him
we would prefer to have the Select Committee destroy the
materials we had provided them on the MKULTRA program rather
than returning them to the Agency. Cooke said he thought
that was satisfctory but because there was so much material
it might be a logistics problem. I said I would check with
the Office of Security to see if they could pick up the burn
bags for the committee.
3. LIAISON Dave Fitzgerald,
Legislative Assistant to Senator Jake Garn (R., Utah), was
at Headquarters for an NFAC briefing on the general military,
political and economic situation in Rhodesia. Fitzgerald
leaves for Rhodesia on behalf of Senator Garn this afternoon.
