OFFICE OF LEGISLATION COUNSEL
Monday - 13 February 1978
1. EMPLOYMENT REQUEST Per her
earlier request, I mailed to Mrs. Edmondson, in the Knoxville, Tennessee
district office of Senator Howard H. Baker (R. , Tenn. ), an Agency brochure
and employment application form for one of their constituents.
2 LIAISON Received a call from Lorraine
Huang, in e o ice o' enator Alan D. Cranston (D. , Calif. ), who said
they were in receipt of a letter from 'n connection with a 25X1
request from their constituent, Ms. Huang said that 25X1...
letter had stated that this was a matter the FBI should deal
with and they wanted to send the constituent's letter to the FBI but that
we had not returned the letter to them. I confirmed with Sue Kessler
that we in fact did have the constituent's letter in our possession and
asked her to forward it on to Ms. Huang.
3. EMPLOYMENT REQUEST Per her
request, I sent to Kim Baxter, in the office of Representative Ronald A.
Sarasin (R. , Conn. ), an Agency brochure and employment application
form for one of their constituents.
4. LIAISON . Per the request of Doris,
Senate Armed Services Committee staff, I sent four more copies of
the Agency publication entitled "A Dollar Cost Comparison of Soviet
and US Defense Activities, 1967-77" to the Committee, attention Frank
Sullivan, Staff Director.
FOIA/LIAISON Spoke with Janet, in the
office of Representative Lloyd Meeds (D. , Wash. ), who was calling on behalf
of a constituent (unnamed) who is seeking file on himself from FBI and CIA.
I suggested to Janet that she forward the request directly to us, rather than
handle by phone, and our Information and Privacy Coordinator would seek
any further information he might need in order to properly process the
request. She will send the letter to us.
