RES. 210 IN TIIE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES .J U.Ar.Y 24. 1966 Mr. McCawwrnY submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Commit tee oii Foreign Relations RESOLUT'I'ION 1 Resolved, That the Committee on Foreign Relations, 2 or any duly authorized subcommittee thereof, is authorized 3 under sections 134 (a) and 136 of the Legislative Reorga- 4 nization Act of 1946, as amended, and in accordance with 5 its jurisdiction specified by rule XXV of the Standing Rules 6 of the Senate, to make a full and complete study with 7 respect to the effects of the operations and activities of 8 the Central Intelligence Agency upon the foreign relations 9 of the ITnited States. 10 Sm. 2. SEC. 3. For the purposes of this resolution the commit- 4 tee, through January 31, 1967, is authorized (1) to make 5 such expenditures as. it deems advisable ; (2) to employ upon 6 a temporary basis, technical, clerical, and other assistants 7 and consultants, including actuarial experts; and (3) with 8 the prior consent of the heads of the departments or agencies 9 concerned, and the Committee on Rules and Administration, 10 to utilize the reimbursable services, information, facilities, 11 and personnel of any of the departments or agencies of the 12 Government. 13 SEC. 4. Expenses of the committee, under this resolu- 14 tion, which shall not exceed $150,000, shall be paid from 15 the contingent fund of the Senate upon vouchers approved 16 by the chairman of the committee.
