BRIEFING Accompanied 25X1 C/DDO/IAD/CAS;I IDDO/NE; and I I, Office of the 25X1 Comptroller; to a meeting with Bill Miller, Staff Director, Dan Childs and Ed Levine, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, concerning the two most recent Presidential Findings. After a lengthy discussion, Miller said the Committee would probably ask for a formal briefing within the next two weeks. 7. LIAISON Called Hal Ford, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, and asked him to report to Senator Adlai Stevenson (D., Ill.) that there was no develop- ment of such significance in the areas that he would be visiting soon, which he should be apprised of. I also expressed our gratitude for the Senator's willingness to raise issues abroad for us but said we did not need to ask for his assistance. 8. Questions were prompted by interested constituents who are of Itanian extraction. First 25X1 question was to what extent is there public support of recent military government installed by the Shah? The second question had to do with the status of Jews living in Iran? Dak.), Chairman, Subcommittee on International Operations, Senate Foreign Relations Committee, from the Director regarding the Agency's liaison relationships with foreign intelligence services, all for Bill Miller, Committee Staff 25X1 Director; and papers regarding Agency grievance procedures and channels for dissent, for Tom Crowley of the rnmri,;fi,-a- ,-'n 12. LEGISLATION Talked to Earl Eisenhower, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence staff, further concerning the bill H.R. 12171, which is still being held at the desk in the Senate.
