SUBJECT:
Briefing of Rep. Tom Corcoran (R., Ill.)
NOTES
As a follow-u to (O/DDS&T) contact with
Representative Tom Corcoran (see memo) and in keeping with Mr. Carlucci's
desire to improve ongressional relations. by breakfasts, I recommend
we call Rep. Corcor n, invite him to a breakfast, and ask him if he
would like to ask a few of his colleagues to come along.
At this point, a breakfast would give him a better introduction
to the Agency and be more in line with our objectives than a tour of
the building for his family. If he is interested in a family tour,
we can arrange one at a later date.
Rep. Corcoran is on the Government Operations and Post Office
and Civil Service Com ittees. He attended a SOS and Chowder and
Marching Society break ast when the Director spoke on 8 June 1977.
His office has written to us concerning public tours and MKULTRA
programs in the state o Illinois. He represents a conservative
district that is made u; from those of former Reps. Charlotte Reid
and Leslie Arends.
If you agree, we wi l contact Rep. Corcoran, extend the invita-
tion, find out if any co leagues will come and then prepare a memo
to Carlucci setting forth all the details and recommending that he
hnst the breakfast,
