MEMORANDUM FOR: Coordinator for academic Relations
SUBJECT The CIA Blue Book
1. I discussed this project with Ed who in turn
raised it with Colonel White. We are all agreed we want
the best possible product and that there is no crashing
urgency to publish. Therefore, we would like to have you
take over as the case officer for producing a better draft.
2. In doing this, please consult with the other
individuals listed on Colonel White's routing slip. I
gather General Counsel and Legislative Counsel also have
an interest in making sure the document is an accurate
reflection of the Agency and its relationships with Congress,
as well as the statutes.
3. We are not assigning any hard deadline, but I
suspect Colonel White would like to see the result before
too long. In addition to your comments, which I am re-'
