the names of some young economists who might serve on
the staff of your Subcommittee on International Finance.
In addition to the names I am forwarding, I took the liberty
of contacting Bob Black at the Federal Reserve Bank in
Richmond to tell him of your interest. Bob will be for-
warding some names to you directly.

of International Trade and Finance at the
University. He is in his late 20's and is highly
recommended by my contacts at the University.

Dr. Thompson is in his early 30's and
has a Ph. D. from the University of Virginia
in International Finance. I understand that he

Detroit, Michigan
Dr. Levin, a highly regarded young
economist, is 32 years old and has a Ph. D.
degree from the University of Michigan. He
is currently on sabbatical from Wayne State
University and is with the Federal Reserve
Board here in Washington.
