I Iacknowledged and thanked him for the letter on your behalf and STAT se irector of Personnel for action. The Personnel office sent the letter to various people in DD/P including NEA, SR and 10 Divisions and the PP Staff. No one a ressed interest in Mr. Van Engert's proposition. He STAT was so advised b then Acting Director of Personnel. After receipt of letter Mr. Van Engert called him for an appointment to further amplify his letter. STAT While Mr. Van Engert's letter is dated 29 July it apparently did not reach until 18 or 19 August. I believe Mr. Van Engert dropped it into the letter slot at your home so probably you have seen it before. Attached are the following papers which reflect the above handling: 1.
